Mr. Macdonaldasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will alter the present arrangement whereby retired school teachers in Scotland are paid their salaries quarterly, to payment on a monthly basis, in view of the difficulties which the present arrangement is causing to many of the pensioners.
Mr. McNeilThe proposed change which would have to apply on both sides of the Border has been noted for consideration when legislation affecting teachers' pensions is required.
