§ Mr. JayThe number of official motor cars in use in the United Kingdom on 31st March, 1950, excluding those used by the three Defence Services, was 5,472. The corresponding figure for 1st July, 1948, was 6,470. I am sorry that there is no record of the number of motor cars in use on 31st December. 1939
