asked the Postmaster-General what is the date of the earliest unsatisfied application for a telephone in Belfast.

2nd September, 1941. As indicated in my reply to the hon. Member for Belfast, North (Lieut-Colonel Hyde) on 15th March, measures are in hand to relieve the present shortage of telephone plant in Belfast and this and other long-standing applications should be met by the end of the year.

Does this apply to business as well as private telephones?
