§ Mr. BevanI am well aware of it, and I presume that the hon. Member is referring mainly to nursing staff. A revision of salary scales has been agreed, and continuous efforts are made to bring the needs and advantages of this Service to the notice of likely recruits. My Advisory Committee is giving close attention to this matter at the present time.
§ Mr. NieldCan the right hon. Gentleman hold out any hope of an improvement in pay and conditions reasonably soon, so as to tend to relieve the situation?
