§ Mr. Ness EdwardsIn Wimbledon 315 business applicants and 1,390 residential applicants are waiting for telephones. In Malden and Coombe the corresponding figures are 73 and 817. There is a shortage of plant in these areas and, in view of the restrictions on capital expenditure, I regret that I cannot say when the outstanding applications will all be cleared.
