HC Deb 22 March 1950 vol 472 c1964
54. Mr. T. Reid

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps have been taken to suppress the secret society known as "Rukun Tigabelas," which was responsible for the murder of the Governor of Sarawak.

Mr. J. Griffiths

"Rukun Tigabelas" was the name by which the conspirators directly concerned with the murder were known among themselves. All these people, with the exception of three who turned King's evidence and one who was acquitted, have been convicted and sentenced. The society to which they belonged has been proscribed.
