asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is aware that the allocations of house coal to Newbury and district since the autumn have fallen far short of consumers' needs; and what steps he is taking to ensure that this district obtains its proper share of house coal.

I am making inquiries and will write to the hon. Member as soon as I can.

Will it be possible for me to assure my constituents in the Newbury district that they are getting at least a fair share of the household coal available?
