§ 4. Mr. Albuasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what are the present numbers on the staff of the economic adviser to the United Kingdom High Commissioner in Germany.
§ Mr. YoungerOne hundred and fifty-three.
§ Mr. AlbuAs most of these functions are now matters for the German Government, and are not reserved functions of 1263 the High Commissioner, does not my hon. Friend think that all three of these staffs are still very much too large?
§ Mr. YoungerThe staff is being very much reduced. The figure of 153 has been reduced from an initial figure of about 5,000, and we are continually reducing the numbers.
