Friend and the President of the Board of Trade 1051 have considered the final Report of the Guthrie Committee and it has been decided to ask Parliament to extend the operation of the Tenancy of Shops (Scotland) Act, 1949, beyond 31st December next by means of the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill.
§ Mr. CarmichaelMay I ask my hon. Friend whether she is including business premises, in addition to shops, in this new arrangement?
§ Miss HerbisonNo. What is to go into the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill will cover only those points covered by the existing Act.
