§ Considered in Committee; reported without Amendment.
§ Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read the Third time."
§ 11.10 a.m.
§ Sir Herbert Williams (Croydon, East)Would the Financial Secretary to the Treasury tell me why we have to go through this procedure every year? It seems to take up an unnecessary amount of time. Could not the provisions of this Bill be embodied in the Finance Bill?
§ The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. Douglas Jay)Under the law as it stands it is necessary for the House to confirm resolutions of the legislative authority in the Isle of Man which passes those resolutions annually, but I will certainly examine the suggestion of the hon. Gentleman.
§ Question put, and agreed to.
§ Bill accordingly read the Third time, and passed.
