§ 36. Mr. John Rodgersasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the fact that British diplomatists in Bucharest are not allowed outside that capital, similar steps will be taken to see that Roumanian diplomatists do not move outside London without special permission.
§ Mr. YoungerMembers of His Majesty's Legation in Bucharest are allowed outside the capital. The question. therefore, does not arise.
§ Mr. RodgersIf I can produce evidence to the contrary, will the Minister reconsider that answer?
§ Mr. YoungerYes, of course, If it turns out that restrictions are reimposed, we might have to reconsider the other part of the question, but our information at present is that those restrictions to which I think the hon. Gentleman is referring were only imposed for a very short time and are now no longer in force.
§ Mr. RodgersThe information I have is that these limitations are still imposed on members of our Mission in Bucharest.
§ Mr. BraineWhen will the Minister get tough in defence of British interests?
