§ Mr. IsaacsThere are arrangements for consultation between factory inspectors and officers of Departments concerned with applications for building licences for work connected with factories. If the hon. Member has in mind any particular case of difficulty and will send me particulars I will be glad to look into it.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterWill the right hon. Gentleman consider, in the light of that suggestion, the case of a firm in my constituency where the local officer has recommended the erection of a canteen and the Ministry of Works have turned it down?
§ Mr. IsaacsThere are three cases in the hon. Member's constituency where 1522 such a state of affairs has arisen, and where our inspectors have stepped in and have been able to ensure that what was absolutely necessary was done. If the case the hon. Gentleman has in mind is not one with which we have already dealt, I will look into the matter.
