§ 68. Mr. Peter Smithersasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will take an early opportunity to make a comprehensive re-statement of Government policy with regard to the Evans Report upon British Honduras and British Guiana.
§ Mr. CookThe policy is to proceed as quickly as possible with the investigations and developments recommended in the Evans Report, and much work has already been done. My right hon. Friend gave a statement of progress in British Guiana in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Dagenham (Mr. Parker) on 5th July.
