§ 6. Mr. Keelingasked the Postmaster-General how long most of the larger London post offices have closed on Saturday afternoons at 2 or 4 o'clock; and why the official list of London post offices continues to state that as a rule they are open till 6 or 6.30 p.m.
§ The Postmaster-General (Mr. Ness Edwards)Just over a quarter of the Crown post offices in London close at 4 p.m. or earlier on Saturdays, and the majority of these have done so for upwards of 20 years. It is proposed to include a specific reference to the early closing in the next reprint of "London Post Offices and Streets."
§ Mr. KeelingIf this Post Office list is worth issuing at all, should it not be kept up to date instead of being issued year after year with this incorrect information?
§ Mr. Ness EdwardsI agree that a mistake has been made. It will be corrected.
