asked the Secretary of State for War if, in his consideration of the question of releasing ex-miners from the Forces, he will give further consideration to the case of Private William Dalzell, whose father was lost in the Knockshinnoch disaster and particulars of whose case have been forwarded to him by the hon. Member for South Ayrshire.

Consideration will be given to this case when a decision has 978 been reached as to the possibility of allowing miners who have recently volunteered for the Forces to return to the pits.
