asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he will be able to make an announcement on the introduction of Summer Time in 1951.

Mr. Ede

This question is under consideration and I hope to make an announcement very shortly.

Captain Duncan

Will the right hon. Gentleman give me a firm assurance now that there will be no mention of double Summer Time in 1951 when he makes his announcement?

Mr. Ede

I think the hon. and gallant Gentleman had better wait for the announcement.
