§ Mr. TurtonWill the right hon. Gentleman investigate this work and see whether it cannot be done more economically and with less inconvenience to local authorities?
§ Mr. DaltonThis work is the scheduling of buildings of special architectural and historical merit and, I am told, is going forward very well. There is, in fact, a staff reduction taking place which was agreed by my predecessor and was confirmed by me; the numbers will be shortly reduced to about 15. I am satisfied that they are doing their work very well.
