HC Deb 28 September 1949 vol 468 c156
Mr. Eden

May I ask the Deputy-Leader of the House whether he can make a statement on the progress of Business this week?

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Ede)

The Debate on the Government's Motion relating to the Exchange Value of the Pound Sterling will be continued today and brought to a conclusion tomorrow, Thursday.

We propose that the House should meet tomorrow at the usual hour of 2.30 p.m. and, at the beginning of Business, a Motion will be proposed for the House, at its rising tomorrow night, to adjourn till Tuesday, 18th October.

The Business to be taken during the week of our resumption of normal sittings has already been announced and this will stand without alteration.

Sir Ian Fraser

At what time will the Debate end tomorrow night?

Mr. Ede

The usual time, 10 o'clock.
