HC Deb 31 October 1949 vol 469 c17
22. Sir P. Hannon

asked the Minister of Food what is the arrangement made by his Department for supplies of milk from Northern Ireland for the period over which the agreement extends.

The Ministry buy all the milk produced in Northern Ireland. When supplies are short in England and Scotland, we divert milk here which otherwise would be used for manufacture in Northern Ireland.

Sir P. Hannon

Is the arrangement proceeding satisfactorily?
