36. Mr. H. D. Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what are the terms of reference and composition of the Commission of Inquiry into the Enugu dispute.

38. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether representatives of organised labour have been appointed to the Commission of Inquiry into the shooting of miners at Enugu; and if he can announce the composition of the Commission.

Mr. Creech Jones

I informed the House of the composition and terms of reference of the Commission on Monday last.

Mr. Sorensen

Does that mean that no additional person can be appointed to this Inquiry?

Mr. Creech Jones

The Inquiry has been set up, and will start work shortly.
