§ Mr. MayhewIn the absence of any international arrangements for compensation for war damage in respect of property in Germany, no such claims are accepted at present. I regret that, until there is a peace treaty or an international agreement, covering claims of this kind, my right hon. Friend can offer no hope of their settlement.
