HC Deb 10 November 1949 vol 469 c1386
39. Mr. Mitchison

asked the Minister of Health when and to what extent it is proposed to provide hospital accommodation in the growing town of Corby.

The Minister of Health (Mr. Aneurin Bevan)

The Oxford Regional Hospital Board are strengthening and developing the Kettering group of hospitals to serve a large area, including Corby, and propose as soon as possible to provide out-patient clinics and a maternity home there.

Mr. Mitchison

Will my right hon. Friend bear in mind that there is a present need for more hospital accommodation in Corby and that that need is likely to increase with the projected development of the town?

Mr. Bevan

I think the regional hospital board are fully aware of the position.
