§ 30. Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent a survey has been made of a coastal road between Dar-es-Salaam and Lindi in Tanganyika Territory; what is the estimated cost; and whether the project has been approved.
Mr. Creech JonesA coast road which is passable during eight months of the year already exists. A survey of a higher standard road will be made as soon as staff is available. As the survey has not yet been made the second and third parts of the Question do not at present arise.
