16. Mr. McKieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he can state the trading losses or profits for 1947 and 1948 on the four farms owned and run by the Department of Agriculture for Scotland at Dunragit, Wigtownshire.
§ Mr. WoodburnThe profit for the year ended 30th November, 1947, was £3,411, The 1948 results will be included in the accounts for 16 months to 31st March, 1949, which are now being prepared.
Mr. McKieWhile thanking the right hon. Gentleman for that information, and expressing the hope that this year will be equally good, may I ask him if it is the intention of the Department of Agriculture for Scotland to convert one of these four farms, namely, Kilfillan, into smallholdings?
§ Mr. WoodburnThat is another question and a matter for consideration.
