HC Deb 16 March 1949 vol 462 c2120
Mr. Gallacher

Mr. Speaker, may I refer to your statement the day before yesterday when, in answer to a question about the other House, you said you would take the matter into consideration. Is it possible that you have considered it, or should I write to you about the matter?

Mr. Speaker

I do not know to what the hon. Member is referring.

Mr. Gallacher

I said, the matter about the other House. After I had put my question, Mr. Speaker, you said you would like to give that matter further consideration.

Mr. Speaker

Yes, I remember now; the hon. Member said he was waiting until he got some member of his own Party in the other House so I thought that was a matter to which I could give consideration in due course.
