§ Mr. IsaacsThe Appointments Offices seek additional openings for persons registered with them by every suitable method, including personal visits to employers. I have no evidence that increasing numbers of commercial travellers and travelling salesmen are losing their employment. Since June, 1948, there has been a considerable increase in the number of vacancies for commercial travellers and travelling salesmen notified by employers.
