asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement on the proposal to set up a State tomato canning factory in Jamaica.

There is no proposal to set up a State tomato canning factory in Jamaica.

Mr. Gammans

In view of the fact that this has been reported both in the local and the Jamaican Press, would it not be advisable in the circumstances if some denial were made?
