asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation what arrangements he is making for a British air service to Israel.

Arrangements have been. made for a British air service between Cyprus and Haifa, and the establishment of other services is under consideration.

Can the Minister say when this service will commence, by which Corporation it will be run and how frequently?

Yes, Sir. 7th March, Cyprus Airways, and twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays.

Is Cyprus Airways owned by either of the Airways Corporations operating in that field?

Mr. Lindgren

British European Airways have a holding of 44 per cent.
