§ Mr. StracheyThe Overseas Food Corporation assumed responsibility for the East African groundnuts scheme on 1st March, 1948. It will not therefore have completed its second year's work until 1st March, 1950. As to its first year's work, I have already informed the House that I shall be ready, if desired, to make a statement on the scheme after my return from East Africa.
