HC Deb 20 July 1949 vol 467 c1352
23. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what recent protests he has received from the leaders of the Social Democratic Party of Germany on the question of dismantling in Germany; and how he intends to reply.

Mr. McNeil

None, Sir.

Mr. Hughes

Is the Minister not aware that the Social Democratic Party of Germany has made emphatic protests about the dismantling policy, saying that this means increased unemployment of miners and steel workers; and is the right hon. Gentleman going to take any notice of that at all?

Mr. McNeil

The hon. Gentleman asked me what complaints had been received. The answer is "None, Sir."
