§ (1) The Minister may, after consultation with the Council of the Isles of Scilly, by order provide for the application of this Act to the Isles of Scilly as if those Isles were a separate county; and any such order may provide for 1268 the application of this Act to those Isles subject to such modifications, or to the exception of such Parts or provisions thereof, as may be specified in the order.
§ (2) The power to make orders conferred by this section shall be exercisable by statutory instrument.—[Mr. Silkin.]
§ Brought up, and read the First time.
§ Mr. Silkin
I beg to move, "That the Clause be read a Second time."
This is the usual sort of provision by which the Bill can be made to operate in the Scilly Isles, either in whole or in part, at any time.
§ Clause read a Second time and added to the Bill.
§ Bill reported with Amendments; as amended (in the Standing Committee and on re-committal), considered.
