Motion made, and Question proposed,
That a sum, not exceeding £946,815, be granted to His Majesty, to complete the sum necessary to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1950, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Secretary of State for Scotland and of the Scottish Home Department; expenses in connection with private legislation; subsidies for certain transport services; grants in connection with probation services, physical training and recreation, coast protection works, services in Development Areas, etc.; grants and expenses in connection with services relating to children and young persons; certain grants in aid; and sundry other services."—[Mr. Woodburn.]—(£340,000 has been voted on account.)
