7. Mr. Bramall

asked the Minister of Labour if he will now extend the scheme for business training for ex-Regular Army officers to retired officers of the Indian Army.

Mr. Isaacs

The training offered under the scheme has already been extended to such officers, but I have no authority to bear the cost in these cases.

Mr. Bramall

Will my right hon. Friend look into the case of a constituent of mine who was informed by his Department that this scheme did not apply to him because he was an ex-officer of the Indian and not of the British Army?

Mr. Isaacs

I will certainly look into that, but probably an answer was conveyed to my hon. Friend's constituent before a decision was reached.
