§ Mr. ShinwellRetired officers of the Indian Army may be considered for appointment to either the Regular Army Reserve of Officers or the Army Officers Emergency Reserve. This was announced by advertisement in the Press on 31st December when an invitation to apply to join the Reserves was issued to all ex-Regular officers of the late Indian Army, and all non-Regular officers of both the British and the late Indian Armies. Details may be obtained from all Recruiting Offices, Territorial Army Associations, and Regimental Depôts or by written application to the War Office.
