HC Deb 28 February 1949 vol 462 c32
51. Commander Agnew

asked the Minister of Agriculture what progress has been made with the examination of the possibility of acquiring suitable land for afforestation in the Camborne-Redruth district; and what the result is of the further consultations with the local authority referred to in his letter dated 22nd December, 1948, to the hon. Member for Camborne.

Mr. T. Williams

The Forestry Commission is now negotiating with owners of land in the district, and I hope that the result will be successful. A meeting with the Cornwall County Council Planning Committee has taken place, but it was decided that a more comprehensive meeting was necessary. This will take place on 7th March.
