30. Mr. Douglas Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is aware that in Singapore a tenant is not allowed by law to let his house whilst on home leave nor leave it empty, the result of which is that British families taking home leave have to store their furniture and have no home when they return to their duty; and if he will introduce legislation to overcome this difficulty.
