§ 39. Mr. Cooper
asked the Postmaster-General if he has yet completed his inquiry into the negotiations between the B.B.C. and the T.U.C. regarding the recognition of the trade unions whose members are recruited from the B.B.C. staff; and whether he is able to make a statement now with regard to the observance by the B.B.C. of Clause 8 of its Charter.

Is the Postmaster-General aware of the unsatisfactory and unhappy staff relations inside the B.B.C.? Is it not about time that the continuous evasion on the part of the Director-General to get this matter cleared up was brought to a satisfactory conclusion?
