I wish to ask a very brief question on this matter. Subsection (7) of this Clause relates to superannuation of justices' clerks and their staff. In some authorities these clerks have opted under a local Act to sacrifice some of their pension so that in the event of their early death their widows might reap the benefit. All I am asking is whether this subsection covers that point. I should like to have an assurance to that effect.

I think that really is the purpose of the subsection. It is to attract those cases into the Bill.
