§ Dr. SummerskillIf we gave everyone the ration allowed to classes of workers who cannot use canteens, the extra quantity required would be about 800,000 tons a year. Any substantial increase in supplies could only come from North America and even if we could afford the dollars we could not obtain enough to carry out this proposal.
