Resolution reported: That it is expedient to authorise the issue out of the Consolidated Fund—

  1. (a) of the sum of four hundred and eighty-five million pounds for the permanent annual charge for the National Debt for the current financial year, instead of the sum of three hundred and fifty-five million pounds; and
  2. (b) of sums required in connection with the redemption, by the transfer of Government stock or otherwise, of the annuities now payable in respect of land tax redeemed but not exonerated."
