§ 5. Mr. Chetwyndasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the arrangements for the distribution of prize money and the issue of medals and campaign stars for the Navy.
Mr. DugdaleIt is expected that the necessary forms will have been printed and that the Admiralty will be ready to deal with claims within the next two 2026 months. An announcement will then be made in the Press and through the British Broadcasting Company inviting applications from ex-Service officers and men, and from the next-of-kin of those who died, on a special form which will be made available at post offices. Applications from serving officers and men will be made through official channels. Distribution of prize money and medals and campaign stars will begin shortly after receipt of the first applicaations.
