HC Deb 21 September 1948 vol 456 c683
29. Mr. Thornton-Kemsley

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that notices to German farm workers and their employers, headed Appendix II, despatched from the Aberdeen office of the Department of Agriculture on 13th September, required important decisions to be made by farmers and by ex-prisoners and reported to the Department by 20th September; and if, since in the majority of cases these forms have been received when farmers and workers were heavily engaged in the work of securing the grain harvest, he will grant an extension of time.

Mr. Woodburn

An extension to 27th September has been agreed.
