§ 56. Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries whether he will make a statement as to the causes of the deaths of large numbers of fish in the Hogsmill river during August.
§ Mr. T. WilliamsThe Thames Conservancy carefully investigated this matter immediately it was brought to their notice. They established that the fish were killed by a toxic substance but were unable to determine its nature or origin. They are watching the position closely, but I hope there will be no recurrence of the trouble.
