§ Mr. G. BrownArrangements are being made to establish the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering as an independent grant-aided institute under the scientific supervision of the Agricultural Research Council. This will involve the appointment by the Minister of Agriculture and the Secretary of State for Scotland of a new Governing Body in place of the Agricultural Machinery Development Board. Pending the formal completion of these arrangements, the Institute will continue to be part of this Department.
