Resolved,
That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to provide for the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of

pensions to certain persons who were serving as judges in India before the fifteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, or as judges in Burma before the fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of such sums as may be required for the payment of, or by way of commutation of the whole or any part of, any pension granted under that Act."—[Mr. P.
