HC Deb 11 November 1948 vol 457 cc1705-6
25. Major Legge-Bourke

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that the accommodation formerly available for the homeless at the public assistance institution in Lynn Road, Wisbech, is now no longer available, and that the homeless now have to go to Stamford Thetford or Peterborough; and what steps he is taking to ease the plight of the homeless in Wisbech.

Mr. Bevan

I have not been able to confirm that any temporarily homeless persons have been refused admission to this establishment, but, if the hon. and gallant Member will give me particulars, I shall be glad to make further inquiries.
