§ Mr. A. HendersonThere is no regulation which states that ex-R.A.F. officers are not permitted to join the R.A.F.V.R. Indeed, many ex-officers have already joined, and others would be gladly 841 welcomed. This does not, however, normally apply to ex-Regular officers or to officers who have held Short Service Commissions, since they already have a reserve liability. In exceptional cases, however, officers belonging to these categories are appointed to Volunteer Reserve posts.
