HC Deb 02 November 1948 vol 457 c680
49. Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will arrange for the issue of tobacco duty relief tokens to a 90-years-old old age pensioner, particulars of whom have been forwarded to him, notwithstanding the fact that this gentleman's old age pension is paid direct to the Surrey County Council.

Sir S. Cripps

The matter has been further investigated and I understand that the gentleman concerned has now made an application for a pension which, if granted, will entitle him to tobacco tokens if application is made to the Post Office at which he draws his pension.
