HC Deb 02 November 1948 vol 457 cc660-1
21. Mr. Fitzroy Maclean

asked the Secretary of State for War if his attention has been drawn to the case of a civilian who lived at Hillsea Barracks, Portsmouth, for six months without being discovered; and what steps are being taken to ensure that other unauthorised persons are not living at the Government's expense in other military establishments.

Mr. Shinwell

This matter has been the subject of a court of inquiry, the proceedings of which are at present being examined. When I have received a report, I will write to the hon. Member.
