asked the Minister of Food what procedure is to be adopted for the distribution of nuts for the Christmas seasonal trade.

Mr. Strachey

The nuts available for Christmas will be distributed through the ordinary trade channels.

Mr. Erroll

Does that mean that the Minister will not interfere at all, as he did last year with such great profit to himself.

Mr. Strachey

It certainly means that it will not be necessary to sell off a Ministry surplus, as it was last year, because there is no such surplus to sell off.
